Our staff follows proper hygiene protocols, including frequent hand washing between handling different pets and wearing appropriate protective gear when cleaning or handling waste.

We maintain separate cleaning tools for different areas of the facility to prevent cross-contamination between dog and cat sections. Additionally, our intake process includes verification of vaccination records and a brief health check to ensure pets showing signs of contagious illness are not introduced to the general population.

In the rare event of a contagious illness, we have isolation protocols and work closely with local veterinarians to prevent spread while ensuring affected pets receive proper care.
